Weekend Closest to March 27 – Goliad Massacre Reenactment – Fort Defiance Living History Program. A Recreation of the occupation of the fort by Col. Fannin and the Goliad Massacre. The only event of its kind in the State of Texas. Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Candlelight Tours 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Sunday, following the Massacre Reenactment at 10:00 am there will be a memorial service and a pilgrimage to the Fannin Memorial. For more information call 361-645-3752 or www.presidiolabahia.org

1st Saturday in November – Canoe Trail Goliad's Annual Fall Flotilla. Bring your canoes, kayaks, john boats, safety gear and a sack lunch and join us on the North side of Highway 59 Bridge/San Antonio River crossing to enjoy a float down the San Antonio River.
