When is the Flotilla?
Our Spring Flotilla is held in mid-Spring and our Fall Flotilla is the first Saturday in November.
How do I sign up for the Flotilla?
To register for the flotilla fill out the registration form. You need to complete a registration form for each family in your party. Also, please print a copy of the waiver for each person in your party. Bring the signed waiver with you to the float.
What do we do when we get there?
Between 9am and 11am, bring your canoes, kayaks, jon boats, paddles and safety gear to the staging area on the north side of the US 59/San Antonio River bridge, 2 miles west of Goliad. Volunteers will help you unload your gear. Then drive to Goliad State Park where State Park employees will shuttle you back to the starting point. Once on the water enjoy a 6.5 mile paddle down the scenic San Antonio River back to the State Park.
After the flotilla you should plan to explore the beautiful City of Goliad and its historic courthouse square, wonderful variety of antique and gift shops, fabulous restaurants, and old-growth oak trees. And don’t forget the Presidio and mission!
